Hi Everybody!
As you can see... you are entering the personal website of Vincent "CHiNO" Lau Chan. I am an international student from Colombia, South America, and born from Chinese parents. I was born and raised in the Beautiful city of Barraquilla, located in the north coast of Colombia. Barranquilla is the fourth largest city of Colombia and is commonll known as "La Puerta de Oro," the Golden Door.
At the age of 14, on August 16th, 1998, I moved to the city of Miami, Florida. One of the cities in the United States with the most Hispanics. I continued my high school education in Miami Christian School, and graduated Valedictorian of the Class of 2001 on June 6th, 2001.
After finishing my high school education, I decided to enroll at Miami-Dade Community College, North Campus and continue my post-secondary education in the field of Engineering. I realized that Miami-Dade Community College was the best choice at the time. I was struggling with money, as an international student my education costs the triple of what a regular resident or citizen of this country pays in a public institution. In addition, I realized that Miami-Dade Community College had a great reputation in the country... and I just gave it a chance. On August 2nd, 2003, I graduated from Miami-Dade Community College, North Campus with an Associate in Arts degree in Engineering/Science. I graduated with a 3.70 GPA and with highest honors with distinction. I also was an Honors Program graduate and a proud member of Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society of the Two-Year College (Mu Epsilon Chapter).
I hope that you will enjoy yor stay. If by any chance you would like to contact me, please feel free to contact me via e-mail.
On this home page, I'll introduce myself and talk about my reasons for wanting a web site. I might put a picture of myself on this page...or just a picture that I especially like.
